North Railway: Findes Highlights Authorization for Petrocity to Expropriate Land

The Federation of Industries of Espírito Santo (Findes) emphasized in its bulletin “Se move a indústria” the authorization granted to Petrocity Ferrovias for the expropriation of land along the EF-030 and EF-355 railways.
The National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) issued the Public Utility Declarations required for the expropriation of the land corridors for the EF-030 railway, which runs from Barra de São Francisco (ES) to Brasília (DF), and the EF-355 railway, connecting Brasília to Mara Rosa (GO).
According to the bulletin, the information was shared with Findes last week by a Petrocity representative.
The two Petrocity Ferrovias S.A. projects are supported by the Infrastructure Thematic Council (Coinfra) of the Federation, the bulletin notes, and aim to connect the grain-producing Cerrado region to deep-water ports. The company plans to complete construction by 2029.
Parklog Sul
The same publication mentions that the state government aims to launch the southern Espírito Santo logistics park (Parklog Sul) by February 2025.
This long-term planning initiative seeks to maximize the potential of the Porto Central area in Presidente Kennedy, enhancing cargo handling and attracting business opportunities.
Although still under evaluation, Ricardo Ferraço, the state’s vice-governor and development secretary, highlighted existing challenges and opportunities: “We need to resolve the port’s connection to BR-101, ensure rail access, and strengthen neighboring cities,” Ferraço analyzed.
